Serious Pie

Just when I thought we had discovered THE best pizza place in the world (Tutta Bella), we found another great pizza place - Serious Pie. Now, for those who think Domino's is the best pizza in town, think again...and long, and hard. Think wood burning oven, absolutely fresh toppings, perfectly baked crust ...you get the idea. It's an addition to Tom Douglas's restaurant collection - all of which seem to be doing pretty darn good. It's a cosy place with limited seating so be sure to get there early or make reservations. I like the ambience too - it has an earthy feel to it. The price range is about the same as Tutta Bella. Would I say it's better than Tutta Bella? Certainly not! But I'd place the two side by side. Highly recommend it.

We've also been meaning to try Via Tribunali, another Neapolitan pizzeria like Tutta Bella. I've heard great things about it. I'll report back on it once I've tried it - which hopefully will be sometime soon!

check list for life?

As I'm getting ready (or not) to leave my twenties behind in a couple of years, a dark cloud seems to be forming over me. Every time I think about the things I want to do/try/accomplish during my lifetime, the cloud just gets bigger and darker, a constant reminder of the little time I have left on this planet (well, in the grand scale of things anyway). And it doesn't help that I have a tendency to procrastinate. So A and I have been talking about making check lists of everything we want to do in this lifetime. We would then take check points every few months or years and revise as necessary. Good strategy? Dont know. But it's a start.
